TANGEDCO’s Global Purchase Tender for 4.5 MnT Imported Steam Coal

TANGEDCO has floated a global tender for purchase of 4.5 MnT imported Steam coal of any origin.

Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has intended to purchase a total quantity of 4.5 MnT imported Steam coal of any origin for the period of 6 months starting Apr’15-Sep’15. Out of the total quantity, 3.5 MnT is required at Kamarajar Port (Ennore) or Karaikal Port and 1.0 MnT at VOC Port/Tuticorin in order to fulfill generation targets of TANGEDCO’s thermal power stations.

• Total Moisture (ARB): 7-23%
• Ash Content (ADB): 2-8%
• Fixed Carbon (ADB): 30-50%
• Volatile Matter (ADB): 25-42 %
• GCV (ADB):5,800-6,700 Kcal/kg
• GCV (ARB): 5,400-6,300 Kcal/kg
• NCV (ARB): 5,100-6,00 Kcal/Kg

Shipping Tolerance

• Kamarajar Port(Ennore) or Karaikal Port: 3%
• VOC /Tuticorin Port: 5%

Bid Qualification Requirement for Tenderer

• Should have supplied 1 MnT imported Steam coal of any origin in past 4 preceding years starting FY11-FY14
• Must have annual average turnover of INR 10 billion during past 4 financial years (FY11-FY14)
• Should have valid tie-ups with mine owners till the completion of contract

Bid should be quoted in USD/MT on CIF basis. The CIF prices to be quoted will be inclusive of all vessel related port charges and should remain firm for the entire scope of supply.

The delivery of the material will commence from Apr’15 and to be completed by Sep’15 for supplies to VOC port or Tuticorin and Kamarajar Port (Ennore) or Karaikal Port.
