SteelMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellets (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 7,800/tonne (t) DAP Raipur, stable on 4 November compared to the last assessment on 1 November, 2022 despite lack of demand and fall in sponge iron prices.
SteelMint’s daily sponge iron, CDRI index, was assessed at INR 32,650/tonne (t) (- INR 350) exw-Rourkela on 4 November, 2022. Although trade volumes improved marginally d-o-d, these remained below average which led to a drop in offers today. About 1,550 t of transactions were recorded on 4 November compared to 950 t on 3 November.
