Indonesia: Stainless steel imports fall over 10% m-o-m in Sept’22

Indonesia’s stainless steel imports fell by 12% m-o-m at 13,674 t in Sept’22 compared to 15,701 t in Aug, as per customs data.
China was the largest exporter with 7,733 t followed by Japan and Malaysia with 2,998 t and 1,917 t respectively.
Total import volumes were recorded at 179,758 t in Jan-Sept’22, a 8% y-o-y rise as against 166,647 t in the same period last year.
