South Africa: Iron ore exports remain largely stable, m-o-m, in Sep’22

South Africa’s iron ore exports inched up by 1.43% m-o-m in Sep’22 to 4.99 mnt from 4.91 mnt in Aug’22, as per data recently released by customs.
China was the major importer with 2.65 mnt followed by South Korea and Germany 0.57 mnt and 0.47 mnt respectively.
Cumulative Import volumes declined by 10% to 46.13 mnt y-o-y in Jan-Sep’22 as against 51.1 mnt in the year-ago period.
