Japan: Ferrous scrap exports rise 27% in September m-o-m

Japan’s scrap exports increased by 27% to 606,250 t in Sept’22 compared to 477,186 t in Aug, as per SteelMint data.
South Korea continued to be the largest importer at 279,309 t followed by Vietnam and Taiwan at 147,423 t and 48,267 t, respectively.
Notably, a total volume of 4.53 mnt has been exported by Japan during Jan-Sept’22.
