- Japan’s major EAF steelmaker, Tokyo Steel, has reduced scrap buy prices for the first time this month.
- The company trimmed bid prices for H2 scrap by JPY 500/t ($3/t) for three of its plants, effective 2 Nov.
- Post-revision, prices of H2 scrap stand at JPY 49,500/t ($335/t) delivered to the Utsunomiya plant while prices for Tahara works remained stable.
