Tata Steel subsidiary Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) conducted an auction for 2,000 t of light melting scrap (LMS) from its Kalinganagar plant in Odisha on 28 Oct’22. As per sources, the entire material got sold at INR 37,500/t ex-works. The company has an integrated steel plant with 1.1 mnt capacity and a captive iron ore mine in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
