India’s rebars production stood at 2.84 mnt in Sep’22, down 7% from 3.04 mnt a month ago, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. Production increased by 11% y-o-y as against 2.56 mnt in Sep’21. JSPL’s output fell sharply by 42% m-o-m. Likewise, RINL and SAIL saw the output dropping by 12% and 16%, respectively, in Sep. JSW Steel and Tata Steel’s production was down by 4% and 2% respectively in Sep’22.
