World crude steel output rises 4% y-o-y in September: WSA

Crude steel output of the 64 countries tracked by the World Steel Association (WSA) rose by 3.7% y-o-y to 151.7 mnt in Sep’22. Output rose marginally by 1% as against 150.6 mnt in Aug’22.

• China’s output increased 17.6% y-o-y to 87 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 1.8% y-o-y to 9.9 mnt.
• Japan’s output declined by 12.3% y-o-y to 7.1 mnt.
