The Tata Metaliks, West Bengal, conducted an auction yesterday for around 1,800 Cast Iron (CI) scrap. The following prices and quantities were achieved:
* Annealed broken pipe 200 MT booked at INR 39,000-39,250/t
* Cast iron broken pipe 600 MT booked at INR 39,950-40,000/t
* Runner skull (CI) 780 MT booked at INR 38,000-38,100/t
* Used rejected mould 200 MT at INR 43,900-44,000/t
All the above prices are ex-work/sources traders.
