China: Steel billets prices edge down even as rebars futures increase

Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan decreased marginally by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d on 21 Oct’22. Prices stood at RMB 3,610/t ($498/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,630/t ($501/t), a rise of RMB 36/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
