India: CIL starts 17 first-mile connectivity projects worth INR 11,000 crore

State-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) has started 17 more first-mile connectivity projects (FMC) worth INR 11,000 crore under the third phase. These projects have been planned for a loading capacity of 317 million tonnes per annum. FMC refers to the transportation of coal from mines to dispatch points.
