JSW Steel’s crude steel output dropped marginally by 1% q-o-q to 4.95 mnt in Q2FY23 against 5 mnt in Q1. Production volumes were impacted by iron ore availability, logistical constraints, and lower average capacity utilisation of 86% in Q2 versus 93% in Q1 amid maintenance shutdowns. Meanwhile, production rose by 21% y-o-y as against 4.10 mnt in Q2FY22.
