REC Ltd and Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) signed a memorandum of loan agreement with SJVN Thermal Private Ltd (STPL) for financing 2×660 MW coal-based Buxar Thermal Power Plant (BTPP), Bihar. It is a greenfield project designed on supercritical technology with total estimated project cost of INR 12,172 crore. REC Ltd and PFC are Central Public Sector Enterprises under the Ministry of Power.
