Imports of Pig iron into Turkey was the highest historical record in the year 2012. The total imports of 1.4 million metric ton (mmt) in the last year was a rise of 21% in comparison to that of 2012.
Imports rose by 4.3% during the last year and was $624 million in total. Ukraine exported a total of 931,354 mt of Pig iron to Turkey in 2012, up by 87.15%.
Whereas, imports from Russia dropped 24.4% to 373,636 mt in the same year.
The average import price dropped to $453/MT last year, which was quoted at $526/MT in 2011.
