Asia’s largest compressed bio gas (CBG) plant was inaugurated in Sangrur, Punjab on 18 Oct. The plant has the capacity to produce 33 tonnes per day (tpd) of CBG by processing 300 tpd of paddy straw. Verbio AG, one of Germany’s leading bio-energy companies, invested INR 220 crores for setting up this plant.
