Some miners in Odisha have cut iron ore fines prices by Rs 200 per tonne after State Government's decision to allow disposal of the stock of raised ore up to 2 October,2012.This decision of the government has come in the wake of demand for raw materials by the industrial units set up in the State.
Sources say with huge piled up stock, miners are willing to dispose at discounted price. Current offers vary from Rs 1,650-2,400 per tonne for 63.5/63 depending on mines and delivery condition.
However lumps prices have been kept unchanged over limited availability and stable sponge iron and pig iron prices in Indian domestic market.
