The Ministry of Coal has decided to allocate 7 coal blocks to the successful bidders under commercial mining scheme. These blocks were offered in the second attempt of sale under third and fourth tranche of auctions, after the initial attempt was fortified due to receipt of single bid. Total coal reserve of the blocks is assessed at around 1,927 mnt.
