Ship-breaking melting scrap prices dropped further by INR 400/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,500/t ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices are falling consistently in major markets and the spot market is witnessing low volume transactions, forcing scrap suppliers to reduce their offers today.
