India: HPGCL floats Tender for 5 MnT Imported Steam Coal Purchase

Haryana Power Generating Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has issued a tender for purchase of 5 MnT imported Steam coal on High Seas Sale basis.

HPGCL has planned to purchase a total quantity of 5 MnT imported Steam coal for its various thermal power plants. Out of the total, 3 MnT will be purchased on behalf of Jhajjar Power Limited (JPL) on High Seas sale basis (HSS) en-route any port of Western Coast India.

Coal purchased through this tender will be for Panipat Thermal Power Station (PTPS) in Panipat, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant  (DCRTPP) in Yamunanagar, Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Station (RGTPS) based in Hisar. In addition, on behalf of JPL’s Mahatma Gandhi Thermal Power Plant (MGTPP), the company has intended to procure 3 MnT coal on High Seas Sale basis.

Supplier should arrange vessels of suitable sizes to deliver a total quantity of 2 MnT & 3 MnT imported Steam coal over a period of 18 months (starting Apr’15 to Sep’16) to HPGCL plants and JPL plant respectively.

Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) having turnover of above INR 20 billion and having experience for supply of above 4 MnT imported coal during past 3 financial years to NTPC/other CPSUs/Power Plant /Steel Plant/Cement Plant/Fertilizer Plant in government/Private sector are eligible to participate. Also, bidder must mention the name of Western Coast port for easy evaluation of bids.
