India: Russian 6000 NAR coal sold at INR 17,000/t at Mangalore Port

Portside prices of Russian 6000 NAR (60% FC) grade coal are assessed at INR 17,000/t at Mangalore Port. Russian coal demand continues to grow in India as sponge iron manufacturers are booking bulk quantity at $198/t CIF basis to blend with low-CV South African coal. Around 0.4 mnt of Russian thermal coal would arrive at Indian ports between 12-18 Oct’22, CoalMint data showed.
