The week-long strike of union workers against Transnet continues as they have failed to reach an agreement over a wage dispute. However, coal prices remain unaffected as RBCT Port continues to load vessels. High-CV RB1 (6000 NAR) grade coal prices remained lower at $247/t FOB this week. Traders expect prices to rebound if the strike continues beyond this week, and RBCT depletes its current stocks.
