Tharisa, South Africa’s fourth-largest chrome ore producer, increased production of chrome concentrate (excluding third party) by 7% q-o-q to 416.2kt in Q4FY’22. Meanwhile, cumulative production in FY’22 was 1,583 kt, up 5% y-o-y. However, metallurgical grade chrome prices dropped 8.5% to $226/t in Q4FY’22. Tharisa’s financial year begins on 1 Oct and ends on 30 Sep.
