USA: Ferrous scrap exports rise 11% m-o-m in August

Ferrous scrap exports from the USA increased by 11% m-o-m to 1.37 mnt in Aug’22 against 1.23 mnt in July, as per SteelMint data.
Turkiye became the top importer at 0.34 mnt followed by India and Bangladesh at 0.26 mnt and 0.19mnt, respectively.
A total volume of 11.3 mnt has been exported by the country from Jan-Aug’22, a 9% decline as compared to CPLY as per Customs data.
