Steel major JSW Steel’s crude steel output dropped marginally by 2% q-o-q to 5.60 mnt in Q2FY’23 against 5.72 mnt in the previous quarter. The drop was mainly due to the phased maintenance shutdown taken in Jul-Sep’22, lower capacity utlilisation rate due to logistics issues in sourcing iron ore and lower export volumes. However, output rose 14% y-o-y as against 4.92 mnt in Q2FY’22.
