India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market noticed mixed trends and offers varied in the range of INR 100-500/tonne (t) d-o-d on 30 September, 2022.
Sponge iron prices rose in the range of INR 100-300/t. A major hike of INR 300/t was seen in Hyderabad’s sponge iron market.
In addition, billet offers fluctuated in the range of INR 100-350/t with a slight price drop of INR 200/t was seen in Maharashtas Jalna market.
Rebar (Fe 500) prices rose by INR 200-500/t across regions. Prices shot up by INR 500/t in Muzaffarnagar and Durgapur.
The semi-finished and finished long steel price saw an uptrend across all markets. However trades remained moderate due to unpredicted market sentiments.
