USA: Coal production rises by 8% m-o-m in Aug’22

Coal production in USA stood 48.03 mnt in Aug’22, up by 8% m-o-m, as per the Energy Information Administration (EIA). The total coal output in Jan-Aug’22 stood at 360 mnt, up by 4% as against the same period last year. In its latest short-term outlook report, EIA has estimated production to be around 600 mnt in 2022, up 4% y-o-y.
