Indian sponge iron export demand remains weak on LC issues

  • SteelMint’s weekly assessment of Indian sponge iron export prices decreased by $5/t to $450/t CPT Nepal (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%).
  • No major new deals of lump-based DRI (C-DRI) for Nepal and Bangladesh were heard because buyers were facing issues in opening letters of credit (LCs).
