Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports rise 35% m-o-m, in Aug’22

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports rose by 35% to 165,108 t in Aug’22 as against 122,584 t in Jul’22, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
USA was the top exporter at 24,769 t followed by Japan at 13,034 t and Australia at 12,552 t.
Cumulative import volumes stood at 1.2 mnt during Jan-Aug’22, rising by 11% compared to the same period last year.
