China: Zinc imports rise over 25%, m-o-m, in Aug’22

China’s zinc imports (semi-finished, finished, ores and others) increased by 27% to 383,765 t in Aug’22 as against 301,040 t in July, according to SteelMint customs data. The imported volumes of ores/concentrates stood at 376,372 t while those of semi finished and finished material were at 7,210 t and 185 t respectively. On a y-o-y basis, zinc import volumes registered a growth of 13% against Aug’21.
