Turkiye’s imported scrap prices rose by $30-35/t in fresh deals as buyers are active in restocking before the peak construction season.
A USA-origin cargo of 50,000 t was booked by an East Marmara-based steel mill, SteelMint learnt from sources.
The cargo comprising 35,000 t of HMS (95:5) and 15,000 t of shredded was booked at an average price of $385/t CFR Turkiye.
