Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,680/t ($513/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 27 Sep’22. A hike in rebar futures and improved demand before the National Holidays have supported domestic prices. China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,837/t ($535/t), a rise of RMB 72/t ($10/t), d-o-d.
