Colombia: Coking coal exports surge by 82% y-o-y in Jan-Jul’22

Colombia’s coking coal exports in Jan-Jul’22 surged by 82% y-o-y to 1.15 mnt, as per customs data. The rise in shipments was due to increased demand from European countries following the ban on Russian imports. Exports grew by 24% m-o-m to 0.36 mnt in Jul’22 with highest shipments to Brazil and Turkey.
