Iran’s steel consumption rises over 20%, y-o-y, in Mar-Aug’22

Iran’s steel consumption increased significantly by over 20% y-o-y in the first five months of the current Persian year (Mar-Aug’22), according to latest data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

• Finished steel consumption increased by 25% y-o-y.
• Flat steel and long steel consumption rose by 18% and 31%, y-o-y respectively.
