SAIL conducted an auction for 10,500 t (60 kg and 52kg) of full length commercial rails on 24 Sept’22 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Chhattisgarh. The base price was set at INR 46,200/t, but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed. At the previous auction held on 7 Sep for 15,000 t, buyers booked only 4,250 t at INR 46,700/t exw.
