Indonesian thermal coal prices rose in a range of $1-9/t for the various grades this week amid rising inquiries for winter restocking from China. Inquiries from Europe also remained strong for building stockpiles before winter. Heavy rainfall in Indonesia has led to tight supply that compelled miners to offer premiums, as they eye strong demand in the coming months.
