Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 40/t ($6/t) d-o-d on 22 Sep’22 following a hike in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 3,630/t ($514/t), including 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,765/t ($533/t), a sharp rise of RMB 101/t ($14/t), d-o-d.
