Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang declined by INR 300/t d-o-d on 22 Sep, as per SteelMint assessment. Prices of HMS (80:20) are assessed at INR 41,500/t exy. Limited demand for semi-finished and finished steel in the Gujarat market weighed on scrap prices.
