Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan decreased further by RMB 20/t ($3/t) d-o-d on 21 Sep’22 amid weak demand in the local market. Prices stood at RMB 3,590/t ($509/t), including 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,664/t ($520/t), a marginal increase of RMB 5/t ($1/t), d-o-d.
