China: Coal deliveries by railway rise by over 30% in Jun-Sep’22

China’s State Railway Group has recorded coal deliveries to the power plants at 410 mnt during 20 June-Sep’22 period, up 32% y-o-y. 363 power plants in the country currently have coal volumes that can last upto 27 days of usage. High summer temperature, and dry weather resulted in a sharp rise in coal demand at power plants.
