Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang fell by INR 400/t d-o-d on 20 Sept, as per SteelMint assessment. Prices of HMS (80:20) are assessed at INR 41,600/t exy. Limited demand for semi-finished and finished steel in the Gujarat market weighed on scrap prices.
