India: Pig iron prices rise by INR 500/t in Durgapur on supply shortage

Private plants in Durgapur have raised steel grade pig iron offers by INR 500/t to INR 45,500/t exw.
The price rise was the result of an expected supply shortage following the maintenance shutdown by Neo Metaliks for a couple of weeks starting today.
Neo Metaliks’ daily production and spot sale volume stands at around 700 t each.
