OMC has lowered the base price for its upcoming chrome ore auction on 19 Sept for grades above 40% Cr2O3. The base price has been reduced by 3% due to the low response in the previous auction held on 19 Aug and following a 2% m-o-m drop in domestic ferro chrome prices, assessed on 17 Sept.
