Indonesian thermal coal prices rose by $2-6/t this week amid heavy rainfall in several mining regions leading to tight supply. Prices of 5000 GAR rose by $6/t w-o-w at $126/t FOB. Rising enquiries from China supported the sentiment as power utilities begin winter restocking activity. Bookings from India also picked up as manufacturing activity is gaining traction post-monsoon.
