Ship-breaking melting scrap prices remained stable d-o-d today in Alang, Gujarat. HMS prices (80:20) are assessed at INR 43,700/t exy. Despite sluggish trade in semis and finished steel, suppliers kept offers stable as prices saw an uptick in the second half yesterday amid supply shortage.
