Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a decrease of RMB 30/t ($4/t) on 14 Sep’22 to RMB 3,690/t ($530/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, following a decline in rebar futures. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,741/t ($537/t), a fall of RMB 53/t ($8/t), d-o-d.
