Japan’s nickel-based cold rolled stainless steel prices are rising. The market price is around JPY 680,000/t ($4,730/t) for 304 grades. Trade-level demand has been high for last two months and may rise by another JPY 50,000/t ($348/t) in August-September, as traders look to pass on higher purchase prices.
