Auto component producers in India’s north and west conducted multiple auctions for mild steel melting/component scrap recently. A Dharuhera-Rewari, Haryana-based auto parts producer conducted an auction on 2 Sep for around 550 t of CR busheling prompt scrap, which fetched bids at around INR 47,550/t exw. In another auction from Waghodia-Gujarat, 150 t of similar material was booked at INR 48,150/t exw.
