South Africa: Iron ore exports fall 7%, m-o-m, in Jul’22

South Africa’s iron ore exports fell by 7% m-o-m to 4.7 mnt in Jul’22 from 5.05 mnt in Jun’22, as per data recently released by customs.
China was the biggest importer with 3.07 mnt followed by the Netherlands and South Korea with 0.73 mnt and 0.42 mnt, respectively.
Cumulative export volumes decreased by 7% y-o-y to 36.23 mnt in Jan-Jul’22 as against 39.02 mnt in the same period last year.
