India: South African RB3 coal sold at INR 14,000/t at Mangalore Port

In a confirmed deal, 30,000 t of the South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was booked at INR 14,000/t at Mangalore Port for mid-September delivery. South African coal prices have come under pressure amid rising usage of high-CV Russian coal and low-CV Australian coal from the Charmichael mine. Bulk bookings deals by DRI producers remain weak.
